An apposition (appo) is the noun phrase immediately preceded by another noun phrase, which gives additional information to the preceded noun phrase.

An apposition separated by a comma.

An apposition surrounded in parenthesis.

An apposition without any separator.

An apposition as a reflexive pronoun.

An apposition not immediately following the head noun.
